We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax & Reporting Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax regulations, preparing accurate and timely financial reports, and providing valuable insights to support strategic financial decision-making. The Tax & Reporting Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization and minimizing tax liabilities, adhering to both local tax regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Responsibilities

Tax Compliance:

  • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, including IFRS, to ensure the organization’s compliance.
  • Prepare and file various tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other required filings.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors to address complex tax issues and optimize the organization’s tax position.

Financial Reporting:

  • Generate and analyze financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS, and other relevant standards.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure completeness and accuracy in reporting.

Audit Support:

  • Assist in the coordination of external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
  • Conduct internal audits to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.

Forecasting and Planning:

  • Support the finance team in developing financial forecasts and budgets, aligning with IFRS principles.
  • Provide insights and analysis on financial performance to assist in strategic decision-making.

Tax Planning:

  • Evaluate and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the organization’s tax liabilities while adhering to IFRS guidelines.
  • Advise on the financial implications of business decisions and transactions.

Compliance Monitoring:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including IFRS.
  • Implement and enhance internal controls to safeguard financial assets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or other relevant certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Tax Specialist, Tax Accountant, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles, with a focus on IFRS.
  • Proficient in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems.
